How much does recaulking a shower cost?
Shower recaulking is priced for labor from your photos, plus materials, because the number of seams, the amount of old caulk and mold, and access all vary. The pricing section on this page covers the minimum charge and the tub-plus-bathroom-sink combination.
Should the shower floor be caulked or grouted where it meets the wall?
Where the tile floor meets the tile wall is a change of plane, and that joint is usually caulked, not grouted. Grout makers generally say their grout isn't for movement joints or changes of plane. I usually recommend caulk at the shower base.
Should I caulk shower corners?
Inside corners are also where two surfaces meet. If the grout in a corner keeps cracking, that corner is usually a good candidate for caulk. Your photos will show what's there now.
Can you get rid of mold in shower caulk?
When mold is in or under the caulk, the fix is removing that caulk, cleaning and drying the seam, and applying new sealant. Mold on drywall or inside a wall is a remediation job, and we'll tell you if your photos point that way.
How long before I can use the shower?
It depends on the product, but in most cases, within an hour of the service being completed. We'll give you the specific cure time for what we used.
