A CLOSER LOOK AT A HOME PROJECT
A good piece of that work is about safety. A lot of our Bonita customers are folks who've been in their homes a long time and want to keep living there comfortably. Worn exterior lighting, a loose grab bar, a smoke detector that's past its date — these are small fixes that make a real difference in how safe and steady you feel in your own home, especially after dark or on the way in from the garage.
The other thing we run into a lot here is folks who have a whole list of little things and aren't sure who to call. One item sounds like a flooring guy, another sounds like an electrician, another's some tech thing nobody wants to deal with. Most of the time, it's all stuff one person can knock out in a single visit.
That's exactly how a recent Bonita job went. An older homeowner had us out and wasn't sure if she needed to line up two or three different people. She didn't. We started by pulling out an old, dingy carpet that had been laid over her garage floor for years — got it cleared out and the floor cleaned up. From there we swapped two worn exterior fixtures for new ones with built-in motion sensors, so the outside of her house lights up on its own when someone's coming or going. For a homeowner living on her own, that kind of lighting goes a long way toward feeling safe walking up to the house at night.
One call, several things handled, no runaround. That's the kind of help we like doing in Bonita.
The small frustrating stuff counts too. Before we left that job, we had a little time before the next stop, so we took a look at her Ring doorbell. Someone else had mounted it, but it was never actually connected to her app. If you've ever fought with one of those — typing in a password you know is right and watching it get rejected over and over — you know how maddening that simple stuff can be. Got it paired and working before we headed out. We're always glad to help with the little tech and setup headaches most people don't want to call somebody out for. Sometimes that's the thing that's been nagging you the most.
